CAVE EQUIPMENT

To safely and effectively dive the cavern or cave environment we need specialized and properly configured equipment.

This equipment section includes gear used at all levels of overhead training. Our desired objective is for the equipment configuration to be streamlined and efficient so as to provide the greatest degree of safety and comfort in the cavern or cave environment.

Though the Cavern student may elect to proceed through Cavern training in basic open water equipment modified to meet the demands of the environment, this section will provide a full review of the specialized equipment required at more advanced levels of overhead training.

We recommend that our students in a more advanced level of training obtain and utilize their own equipment which will increase their ability to successfully complete their training.

However, prior to making a substantial equipment purchase—particularly at the Cavern and Intro to Cave levels—please feel free to contact us so that we can provide you with valuable information for your gear selection.

"A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE"

Become part of our Initiative
while visiting Quintana Roo

It's simple
Make a Donation and we give you a
refillable bottle and access to

FREE water in exchange!

In 2016 more than 16 million visitors were recorded in QRoo  whom used a minimum of 88,000 plastic bottles per day or more than 32 million plastic bottlesl per year!

Unfortunately, recycling in this area is not yet considered as a priority and, as a result, at least a third (or more) have ended up somewhere in landfills, our ocean, cenotes, beaches, jungle, and streets! This is why the local community of business owners and individuals in QRoo have launched the “A Message in a Bottle”  Initiative with the common goal to help reduce the quantity of plastic bottle trash in this area and worldwide, and to raise awareness about protecting our ecosystems!

If we want to relieve our Mother Nature of trash it is imperative that we start changing our habits of using disposable plastic water bottles and start filling refillable bottles instead.

Click on the "A Message in a Bottle" icon above  to find out more about how it works and how you can become part of the Initiative during your visit!
